#abortionbookclub 2020 newsletter
It’s been a pretty odd year [to say the least] for a number of reasons, but it was also a pretty big #abortion year.
From mass demonstrates and strikes to push back against regressive abortion laws in Poland, to an impressive battle to legalise abortion in Argentina, from flip-flopping on abortion via telemedicine regulations to accepting it as a new pandemic reality… it has been a year.
It’s also the year we started our wonderful #abortionbookclub (@AbortionBooks_), where we read & interrogated depictions of abortion in fiction. It’s been one of the highlights of our year - not just because we got to read a bunch of abortion books, but because we got to do it with some incredibly astute & knowledgeable abortion nerds from across the world. Thank you for making book club what it is: absolutely brilliant!
